Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Heart Works massage

This massage works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes made with the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows, allowing you to relax and give into the nurturing touch.

Lomi Lomi Heart Works massage works from the belief that memories are not just stored in the brain and mind, but also in every cell of the human body. The long, continuous strokes of the massage are designed to help your body let go of its old patterns and behaviors, which can cause as many stresses and strains just as much as muscle tension can.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a deliciously warm and nurturing full body massage that includes long, kneading strokes with precisely heated stones held within the palm of your therapist’s hands, allowing them to penetrate deeper into your muscle tissue to relax tense muscles and damaged soft tissue throughout your body.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is an ancient therapeutic practice that has been used in India for over 2000 years (since around 600 B.C.). It is a treatment that focuses on massaging acupressure points along the head, neck, and shoulders, often using circular massage strokes to improve hair and scalp condition.

It originates from an Indian alternative medicine system called Ayurveda, (translated as the ‘science of life’), whereby it is believed that the mind and body are intricately connected and thus can influence one another. Through this theory, it is understood that Indian head massage can not only reduce headaches and improve physical well-being, but it can also improve mental and emotional wellness too.

Indian head massage is performed either sitting and/or laying on a massage bed without the use of oils and includes an intensive scalp massage as well as incorporating the upper back, shoulders, neck, and a pressure point facial massage.

Dry Body Brushing

Dry body brushing is a method of body exfoliation that has been practiced for centuries in many cultures and is part of the traditional Ayurveda approach to health and wellbeing. The treatment is done by buffing dry skin with a special exfoliating brush to slough off the top layer of dead skin cells, smoothing its texture.

Dry body brushing may energize the body, increase circulation and blood flow, and stimulate drainage from the lymphatic system to smooth skin’s surface, sweep away flakes and dry patches, and even out lumps and bumps, including cellulite. Any type of exfoliation can usually help to prevent ingrown hairs as well, by clearing dead skin cells that can trap hair under the skin’s surface.

    What can dry body brushing do for me?

    • Exfoliation of dry dead skin cells

        WHAT TO EXPECT IN A BODY MASSAGE TREATMENT

        A full-body massage is performed in a relaxing room at a comfortable temperature with the client in underwear only and bra removed, covered with cosy towels and blankets, laying on a massage bed face down to begin with, and finishing in a face up position.

        Jojoba oil is used with a blend of pure essential oils during the massage, and a hot damp towel is used to wipe the excess oil off after each part of your body has been massaged.

        Hot stones are used during the hot stone massage at a safe temperature so as to not burn your skin.

        A dry body brush when included in a self-care ritual package, or when added onto a body massage treatment, is used dry on the skin with the client laying on the massage bed in underwear only, and covered with cosy towels and blankets. Due to Covid, the dry body brush is single use only and taken home by the client, included in the treatment price. At future appointments, the client can bring the initial dry body brush with them that they received to save money on future treatments that incorporate dry body brushing.

        A basic facial including a cleanse, scrub, facial massage, and moisturiser is included in the Self-Care Full Body Experience package.

        A hot foot soak and scrub is included in the Full Moon and New Moon Ritual Treatment and Self-Care Full Body Experience packages.

        At the end of your treatment you will have up to 15 mins to sit in the room alone to enjoy a cold drink of bottled spring water, or a warm cup of herbal tea while you readjust to reality and come back down to earth.

        Even though you will feel highly relaxed after a full body massage, you can comfortably return to normal activities for the remainder of your day following your treatment. However, if you can I recommend blocking out the remainder of your day after your massage to make the most of the relaxed feeling.

         

        After your full-body massage:

        • If you can, try to block the remainder of your day out after your full body massage so that you can make the most of the relaxed feeling you will experience
        • Try to spend the remainder of your day in an emotionally stable and relaxed environment
        • Drink plenty of water
